About OMO KERIN
The name of this blog is of Yorùbá origin and can be translated into English to mean 'fourth child'. It refers to me, the founder of this blog. I am Desola Olaleye, the fourth of five children born into a Nigerian family. I hold a BA in Politics from King's College London and MSc in African Studies from the University of Oxford. For years, I have nurtured an interest in art, culture, and politics.
This blog was born out of my love of learning and the need to convey my reflections on art, socio-political events and cultural histories. For me, these topics all have one thing in common—the human condition and its expressions. Through navigating personal and social spaces, we all experience and create multiple events. I founded OMO KERIN with a mission to present commentary and musings on these events and more.
OMO KERIN is my creative space and you, reader, are welcome. I hope you leave here informed and inspired!
